This blog shows my newest paintings. My main interest is painting in watercolor. But from time to time other media will be used to have a change and gain inspiration again. All my paintings and more information can be found on http://www.peterheimann.de.

Coming home
This is what I thought about the photo of this nice landscape. A farmers house beneath the colored hills and a person walking along a dirty road towards this house. It really feels like someone is coming home very soon. The painting was done on Hahnemühle Cornwall paper in the size of 36x48cm.

Munich Viktualienmarkt
The photo was taken on a cold and rainy winter day, when walking from the Gärtnerplatz to the Viktualienmakt. I thought then this could be a nice view to be painted. But it took me now more than a month to look at the photo and decide how to paint this view. This is the result, painted on Hahnemühle Cornwall paper 400gr and the size of 36x48 cm.

Antalya Konya Alti beach
This painting was done from a photo I took on the beach on a cloudy nearly overcast day, with some wholes in the cloud cover. What I realy liked about the photo is the mountains reaching up to the clouds and covering the peaks. I am not sure I caught this correctly. I think I should try again.
Madison square park
This painting from T. W. Schaller was on the front page of the December issue of the Watercolor artist. I liked this painting very much and decided to do it for my own gallery as an exercise in winter paintings.
